Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for Mining and Construction Service Business Line in Tampere. As a Maintenance Engineer you are in charge of the mechanical maintenance activities. 

In this position you will be responsible for making, implementing and updating maintenance instructions, processes and machine documents. You are accountable of developing the daily general management of mechanical maintenance activities and processes, including both corrective and preventive maintenance. You will ensure and improve the machines availabilities to secure the manufacturing capacity and on time project deliveries. As a maintenance engineer, you will collect and follow-up analysis of maintenance information such as machines shut down hours/rate and maintenance cost to make improvements or investment proposals. You will participate in investigation and implementation of machine improvement, modification, relocation and investment. You will also make sure the maintenance work is done properly for special equipments, such as overhead cranes, forklifts, compressors etc. according to authorities’ regulations and keep communications with related authorities. You are also responsible of the personnel development in your own team and you will be managing our subcontractor network.

Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements

To be successful in this position we expect you to have 

• B.Sc or M.Sc (mechanical or other related major).
• Willingness and skills to lead and motivate your team and ability to give the team tools to work with efficiency and high quality. We value team leading experience. 
• Related working experience with at least 2 years of maintenance management experience. 
• Background from big machines maintenance. Maintenance of a CNC control system is also an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience of general maintenance management. Experience in maintenance software management systems such as SAP PM is a plus. 
• Good communication skills – you are able to communicate fluently in English and in Finnish, both in oral and written. German is an advantage.
