Position Title: Industry Technical Consultant - Primary Metals Industry
Location: Germany /France or Italy
Key Responsibilities: The Industry Technical Consultant (ITC) will primarily be responsible for enhancing Nalco's offering to our customers through identification and delivery of new applications and best practice techniques.
The ITC will work closely with the Metals Industry Development Managers as well as with the Metals Key Account Managers and the sales force to support new sales, help maintaining existing customers and drive innovation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with customers to provide support at all levels regarding Nalco's solutions and applications to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Development of customer "best practices" guidelines and benchmark
- Development of relationships with customers to understand, identify and propose improvement plans bringing total cost of operation savings.
- Drive innovation at our customers, identify and contribute to development of novel and innovative customer solutions to improve efficiencies.
Industry Technical Consultant (Primary Metals), Europe Job Requirements
- Technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience working within the Metal/Steel sector, ideally in a process engineering function, or in a role inspiring and developing process improvement.
- Experience within business to business sales or marketing.
- Experience communicating and presenting to others, reporting data in a logical and user-friendly way.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience reporting and analysing data.
- Financial awareness.
- Fluent English, good German language skills (additional languages beneficial).
- Versatility - this role works with constantly evolving customers and stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness - this role will cover an international area.
