Senior Application Engineer Job Description

• Design, manufacture and test liquid application systems from request to solution.  This includes the assembly of hydraulic components and electrical cabinet.
• Develop innovative PLC & Scada software solutions to maximize the applicator efficiency.
• Provide day to day support to customers and local field engineers.
• Assist and lead on-site equipment installations, commissioning and give training to the local operators.
• Perform on-site maintenance and calibration checks to assure outstanding performance.
• Conduct one-day trials to demonstrate the Kemin programs.
• Monitor program efficiency via sampling and reporting.
• Perform detailed factory surveys and translate customer requirements into solutions.
• Identify and report competitor activities on the market.
• Participate in attending local exhibitions, seminars, training and workshops.

Senior Application Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in engineering.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment
• Strong affinity for industrial automation
• Profound knowledge and understanding of electrical schemes is key
• Familiar with Siemens PLC and scada systems like WinCC and Movicon
• Knowledge of electrical design software like “SEE Electrical”
• Experience in Feedmill process technology is an asset
• Experience in liquid dosing systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in English, knowledge of German and French is an asset
• The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, with an outgoing personality, is highly organized and is able to work independent and in a team.
• The candidate is willing to work in an international environment and is prepared to travel throughout the EMEA region (max. 40%)
