Standardization Engineer Job Description

As Standardization Engineer, you are an expert in documenting the knowledge transfer of our engineers into standard processes. You will lead the standardization process of our engineered products (roof systems and components) in order to ensure continuous learning and competence building. In this position, you are a member of the Global Advanced Technology Department. The Global Advanced Technology Department is the source of all future technology developments for our global product portfolio. They are the engineering partner that supports our company on a global scale and continuously think ahead to ensure our position as an Innovative Leader!

• Lead the global standardization process of our engineered products within Inalfa;
• Ensure maximum re-use of engineering knowledge;
• Reduce risks by setting up a framework or using this existing knowledge and by applying lessons learned;
• Provide consultancy regarding methods for standard documentation of knowledge;
• Advise on departmental policy with regard to organizing the standardization structure;
• Guide and coach Engineers to transfer and structure their knowledge;
• Integrate the knowledge in a system (sharepoint) that supports integral communication;
• Organize one global standardization structure;
• Initiate training sessions in order to learn engineers to efficiently use existing knowledge and know-how;
• Sustain level of expertise on your technology area.

Standardization Engineer Job Requirements

• You have a finished degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or other relevant study on a BsC or MSC level.
• At least 5 years of work experience. Automotive experience is a plus but not always necessary.
• Knowledge about Microsoft Office, and preferably with sharepoint.
• Strong affinity with process documentation.
• As a professional you show vision and long term perspective. You are pro-active and self-starting.
• In your work you are able to provide consultancy and transfer knowledge on different communication levels.
• The job requires a good command of the English, both verbal and written.
