QHSE Engineer Job Description

The QHSE-Engineer will be member of the Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE) department in our clients head quarter, reporting to the QHSE Manager. He/she will assist in the day-to-day operations and will be accountable for Quality, Safety and Occupational Health related matters.

The QHSE Engineer tasks/duties are:

• Accountable for the Corporate Document Management System
• Control & update Quality & Safety plans and Operations related documents/manuals
• Assist in the preparation/ maintenance of our clients management system
• Assist in the preparation of corporate improvements
• Assist in preparation of tender documents
• Accountable for Operational Safety & Occupational Health related matters.
• Assist in incident reporting and incident investigation
• Perform audits (onshore as well as offshore)
• Assists in the preparation of QHSE meetings (e.g. HAZID, Safety meetings)
• Act as liaison to Rig Managers, OIM's, Safety Coaches and Safety Representatives.
• Prepare and coordinate safety awareness campaigns.

QHSE Engineer Job Requirements

• Good understanding of Quality/Safety Management Systems (Such as ISO9001, OHSAS18001, VCA, ISO14001)
• 1-3 years experience as QHSE engineer or System/Operations engineer preferably in the Oil & Gas or Aviation industry
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably NEBOSH certified (e.g. HTS MAROFF-AOT or equivalent)
• Good communication / reporting skills
• Self-confident & good social abilities
• Fluent English both verbal and writing
• Must be computer literate with ability to produce detailed reports and presentations.
• Good planning and organization skills
• Be prepared to travel and to visit our units on a frequent basis
