Senior ETL/Data Integration Developer (m/f) Job Description

We are looking for a data integration developer to augment our analytic platform development team. Comfortable manipulating large and complex data sets, you will design and implement Extract, Transform, and Loading (ETL) processes to integrate and enhance biomedical data from diverse sources. A strong focus on quality is expected as you will need to ensure reliable usage of metadata. You will also create methods for automatically validating update procedures through statistics, quality metrics and advanced matching algorithms. As someone interested in current scientific development, you are ready to collaborate productively with our international and diverse team.

Senior ETL/Data Integration Developer (m/f) Job Requirements

You are a team player with the following competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Design and development of ETL processes (preferably with Talend)
• Data warehouse architecture and operation
• Relational and dimensional database modeling
• Advanced SQL querying including optimization (preferably with PostgreSQL)
• Domain knowledge around clinical applications, chemistry data, or bioinformatics
• Familiarity with statistical and other mathematical methodology would be a plus
• Advocacy of sophisticated development environment (version control, unit tests, automation, code reviews, etc.)
• Spoken and written fluency in English
