We are currently looking for an enthusiastic software developer to join one of our development teams in Glasgow. You will work with the latest technologies, learn something new every day and use your initiative to problem solve and contribute to challenging projects.

As a Software developer at IES, this is what you’ll do:
·         Develop code to interface with our advanced physical simulation and visual analyses engines.
·         Develop new products and features as well as maintaining the current modules.
·         Participate in code reviews and provide input to the product documentation.

Software Developer Job Requirements

Essential Skills:

A degree in computing, physics or a related scientific degree
Experience of developing software in C++, C# or other 3GL
Experience of using Microsoft Visual Studio
Analytical and problem solving skills
Able to work as part of a development team, with multiple goals and deadlines
 
Desirable Skills:

Experience of programming in a commercial environment.
Experience of MFC, STL, BOOST, Qt
Experience of the web based technologies (HTML, CSS, ASP, Javascript, C#)
Knowledge of using OpenGL/DirectX/Ogre or other 3D platforms
Knowledge of source code control systems such as Perforce or CVS
