Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

The possibility to experience all business aspects and the opportunity to grow with the company.Job targetThe job consist of specifying, designing and realizing the mechanical architecture of (sub)systems in our equipment. Conceptual thinking combined with a multi-disciplinary approach will be the base of your designs. Target is to create a robust equipment for production of solar cells complying to the market needs and the applicable industrial standards.Job contents

• Responsibility for the design and realization of various (sub) functions of the system.
• Set-up of all (sub) specifications based upon the overall system specification, in cooperation with other experts.
• Set-up of calculations and test requirements to validate the designs.
• Contact with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contact with customers for second line field support.
• The creation of cost effective architecture and designs in corporation with the other designers and engineers .

Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on precision mechanics.
• At least 5 years of experience in creating new equipment.
• Experience with setting up system requirements via the V-model.
• Experience with 3D design tools (preferably NX and TeamCenter).
• Basic knowledge of (FEM) calculations in the area of thermal management and static design.
• Preferred areas of expertise: Design principles, accurate positioning, dynamic behavior, material properties, contamination control, cleanroom environment, design for reliability and ultra-high purity design rules.
• Dutch and English in writing and spoken word

• Good communicator, both internally and externally (customers and suppliers)
• Good analytical skills
• Shows initiative, is self-supporting and flexible
• “Can do” attitude
