Project Manager
The project manager is assigned projects based on the needs of the organization. These projects are technical in nature and require a strong working knowledge of ecommerce, web development and functionality. The project manager oversees the planning, implementation and tracking of assigned projects utilizing Agile development methodologies as needed. Projects are expected to be completed on-time, within budget and within scope.
Project manager job duties:
- assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- develops a detailed project plan to track and monitor project activities including time-frames and milestones following normal agile methodology
- works with an existing team of web developers and engineers
- assigns project activities with due dates to team members
- leads team to complete projects on-time and within constraints defined in project plan
- follows-up on any barriers to completion
- reports on a regular basis the status of projects along with any barriers to completion to all relevant stakeholders
- occasionally presents system functionality or status of the project to stakeholders
- documents all aspects of the assigned project and assists in testing as needed
- exhibits flexibility by accepting ownership for and accomplishing new and different requests as assigned
Project Manager (m/f) Job Requirements
Skills and qualifications:
- 3 years project management background with software or web development
- great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering and experience with Agile development methodology
- proven ability to lead a team of web developers to successful completion/launch of projects and resolve any conflicts that may arise
- strong working knowledge of ecommerce and web development processes
- familiarity with web development languages
- great analytical skills and proven ability to solve complex problems
- demonstrated ability to work well with team members and others across the company
- excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- ability to speak English proficiently
- PMP certification is preferred, but not required
