Mobile UX/UI designer Job Description

CycleWE is a unique and fast-growing platform that connects cyclists from all over the world by stimulating the social nature of the sport through mobile and online applications. And we’re looking for another creative mind!
 
Are you an UX/UI designer who’s passionate about user-centered designs with a pixel perfect interface and who has experience with working within an agile development process? Then this might be something for you!
 
Position:
Comfortable with self-direction, team collaboration and open communication, this leading position will be responsible for designing the interfaces, user flows and experiences for the mobile application (iOS & Android), as well as our website. We just migrated the app from hybrid to native, so you’ll have a solid foundation for all further improvements, new features and branding elements. You’ll be working in an iterative process with fast release cycles, as well as looking ahead and conceptualizing broader changes in our online and mobile offering across different platforms. You should be able to:

• Manage a collaborative working environment with a growing team.
• Lead projects autonomously and in tandem with our developers and founding team.
• Take ownership of the design and creative development part of the organization. 
• Conduct user research, usability testing and evaluate user feedback.
• Create visual consistency and style guidelines, which generate an engaging, and delightful user experience.

Mobile UX/UI designer Job Requirements

Do you have what it takes?

• Experience: You have at least two years of experience creating mobile UX/UI designs for both iOS and Android. Also relevant experience with responsive web design is preferable.
• App Portfolio: Your portfolio of iOS & Android app designs shows your fine understanding of native app design and platform guidelines.
• Trends: You are familiar with cutting edge technologies in native mobile app design and you are up-to-date with the latest trends and emerging new user interface patterns.
• Knowledge: You have knowledge of designs for mobile devices in all formats.
• Tools: Sketch, Photoshop, Fireworks, Adobe Illustrator – whatever works for you. You get to decide which tools you use.
• Design Process: You’ll be given full ownership of your own creative mind, and so you’ll be required to construct beautiful experiences / mockups / workflows, followed up with their implementation.
• Data: you like to measure your success with data and learn from user feedback.

• Knowledge in web design/development, playing an important role in the design/development of the website.
• Knowledge of and/or love for the cycling, fitness and/or sports industry.
