Learning & Development Advisor RD&I
As L&D Advisor you are responsible for establishing and implementing training and development solutions in line with the SRD and HR Strategy and business objectives. You focus on RD&I but also support other areas within SRD.
The position is based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and you report to the SRD Faculty lead.
You will be working for a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to your personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you are active across a number of key areas:
Design, development, delivery and maintenance
You facilitate and advise on the design and development of global functional curricula. This involves developing optimized learning techniques and delivery as you work with curriculum owners and program stakeholders to define needs and priorities within the strategic purpose and context.
In addition you manage the coordination, maintenance and improvement of existing training programs, identifying and organizing the most appropriate and cost-effective and sustainable delivery methods for programs according to current best practices. You also identify and qualify external training providers and internal trainers, provide didactical framework advice, and facilitate the development and maintenance of training materials to support process owners in the deployment of standard functional processes.
Finally, you supervise the activities of the program coordinator.
Organizational behavior
You ensure that the functional training curricula support the AkzoNobel/SRD cultural vision and organizational behavior development needs. This requires you to contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of specific SRD leadership curricula, aligning it with other global AkzoNobel (leadership, generic skills, and business acumen) training programs.
Quality Management
You provide guidance and support for the subject matter experts and internal trainers to ensure the required quality level for development and delivery. You also establish key performance metrics, monitor and benchmark the performance of training resources, evaluate results and take corrective actions where necessary.
Business case and budget
Along with the curriculum owners you define the yearly training development and delivery plan including budget, set up tools to track and monitor expenses against budget, analyze and report. You also create business cases, including best practices for programs.
L&D processes and expertise
You contribute to the development of the SRD L&D processes, tools and templates, ensuring effective utilization and continuous improvement. In addition you identify L&D best practices and latest developments and techniques both inside and outside AkzoNobel, and apply these.
Further, you contribute to the design of a standard process for training technical skills at a local level, and work to ensure full alignment with AkzoNobel’s L&D strategy.
Communication
You build strong collaborative and supportive relationships with curriculum owners and program stakeholders, demonstrating good stakeholder management at all times. You also develop effective communications for informing and involving the business and for promoting the SRD learning programs.
