Senior Design Engineer Electronic Job Description

Wema System has currently available a position as Senior Design Engineer Electronic. We are looking for an individual who enjoys developing electronics solutions working as integral parts in a system. You will specify, design, develop and test electronic modules in our products and ensure that these systems can be manufactured in an efficient manner. You will be working in a team of SW developers, application engineers and mechanical engineers and report to Manager Software & Hardware, R&D. The position is based at our head quarter in Bergen, Norway. 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to
Take ownership and specify, design, develop and test electronic modules in our products
Work closely with other technical team members to design reliable systems solutions
Work with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure efficient transfer to high volume manufacturing
Participate in discussions with customers to understand requirements
Participate in discussions with customers to define relevant approval tests, e.g. EMC tests
Support and/or participate in testing of new products at external certified labs
Participate in internal product validation testing related to the electronics module

Senior Design Engineer Electronic Job Requirements

Qualifications
MSC degree in electronics or BSc with relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience with relevant tools and methods used to design electronics
Experience from layout of multilayer PCB`s
Preferably some experience from developing or sourcing development of ASICS
Fluent in written and oral English (English is our working language)
