This role is for delivering a Spacecraft Operations Engineering service in the family of Earth Observation missions (initially AEOLUS).
The primary area of responsibility for this service is the Data Handling system, including the preparation and validation of the FOP, inputs for LEOP and commissioning timeline, preparation of the remaining SVT, and contribution to the OBSM set-up and testing.
The service provider will be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including cross-validation of procedures, test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator.
The current Aeolus launch window is from end of November 2017 to end of January 2018. This service will accordingly cover the last period of the launch preparation, the LEOP, and the commissioning of the mission. A likely continuation during the routine phase is foreseen in case of a successful mission.
This is a job for an experienced Engineer looking for a sustainable and social work environment with future development opportunities. He/She will be directly located on customer site at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany.
It is full-time and permanent position requiring occasional travel within Europe. Deadline for submission is 17.02.2017 and expected start date will be earliest in April 2017.
