Smit & zoon develops and produces chemicals used in the manufacturing and finishing of leather for well-known brands of shoes, cars, furniture, clothes and bags. Based on fish oil as a shared feedstock source, we also have a significant share in the global trade of vegetable and animal oils, used by our customers to produce top brands in pet foods and human consumption.
What are you going to do?
In your role as an experienced Leather Technician Beamhouse/Tanning you will test new products- and processes. The ultimate goal is to sustainably produce leather and thus support our CSR ambition to make the leather value chain largely sustainable.
You will collaborate with the R&D team and other professionals to prepare the new developments for market introduction. Part of your role is to identify the unique selling points of the new products and processes and bring them to our sales-and technical team while supporting them to promote it at our customers.

Your profile
We are looking for an experienced Leather Technician with a proven technical record in beam-house and tanning processes.
You are used to travel frequently, you are a team player, persistent and focussed, you can lead projects, are you communicate easily with different cultures and you are a good communicator able to get things done.
