EUMETSAT is Europe’s meteorological satellite agency. Its role is to establish and operate meteorological satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisation's Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.
EUMETSAT also operates several Copernicus missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data services to the Copernicus marine and atmospheric services and their users.
As an intergovernmental European Organisation, EUMETSAT has 30 Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.)

EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment, pulling together the resources of 30 Member States. We observe the atmosphere, ocean and land surfaces from Space using a system of satellites, 365 days a year, offering images and data to provide insights into weather situations, environmental hazards and climate change. Our work helps users worldwide to monitor changes in these to protect lives, lifestyles and properties. Developing the next generation of satellites, we look to shape our future.

This is an opportunity for you to join our Systems Operations Team and use your project planning skills as we plan and schedule both current and future satellite operations.
With your excellent communication and team skills, you will coordinate the activities on the ground segment systems supporting all of our satellite programmes, ensuring that maintenance and evolutions are harmonised with ongoing operations to minimise disruption to services, balance workload an maximise delivery of products to our users.
You will anticipate, spot and overcome planning and scheduling conflicts, often independently, in a complex operational environment. Using your analytical skills, you will measure our progress against performance indicators and use multi-channels to keep our partners up to date with plans and schedules. You will also provide support to new programmes as they transition into operations.
If you have experience in managing multiple resources and projects across complex operational systems and environments, and enjoy the challenge of managing the conflicting demands on resources, we would like to hear from you.
