The Job:
- work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure mechanical perfection of near-to-eye smart glasses
- be responsible for planning, concept development and execution of a smooth, mass-production ready integration of novel polymer optics and state-of the art electronics into a fashionable frame
- master 3D design tools in order to constructively challenge external and internal team members to ensure an optimal user experience of the mechanical functionality (ergonomics, hinges, controls)
- collaboratively manage and review external project partners to develop, produce and characterize functional samples
Senior Engineer Computer-aided Engineering and Design (f/m/x) Job Requirements
Our requirements
- a master degree in engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical design, precision mechanics and plastics technology
- at least 5 years of experience in mechanical concepts, design and realization of high-volume consumer electronics products and/or eyewear
- at least 3 years of experience in project management in an international partner network (ideally incl. Asian business partners)
- good command of German and English
- the ability to independently structure complex, interrelated issues and creatively and quickly solve them
- assertive communicator and talented organizer
