Within BIS, we deploy state-of-the-art information technology to transform the flow of data from new applications into tangible, innovative applications within Aegon.  

Position
The BIS department is responsible for setting out the Business Intelligence and Big Data strategy for Aegon Nederland. As Aegon wants to become a so-called 'data-driven company', the objective of the BI and Big Data strategy is to transform business intelligence into intelligent business. Instead of looking back, we want to look forward based on the data in our systems, making predictions and taking decisions. In order to do this, we need more and more data, and not just from our own systems, but from external sources too and not just from structured sources, but from unstructured sources too. With the help of new (Big Data) technology, we are going to realise this transformation. As a business and information analyst within the Enterprise Data Management department, you are on the threshold of this transformation and your role can be instrumental in its design. To achieve this, you work with different business units (all business lines, finance, marketing, sales, eCommerce) and with the various Aegon start-ups. The post for this vacancy is in the Netherlands and candidates must have a Dutch work and residency permit.

• You are an ambitious starter and have (almost) completed a university study in computer science, (e.g. Business Mathematics and Informatics), econometrics, mathematics, physics or comparable.
• You are bursting with ambition and want to take part in the transformation of our company to  create a leading, customer-oriented organisation in financial services.
• You are full of initiative, result oriented, exude expertise and have a capacity for solving problems.
