JOB DESCRIPTION
Due to ongoing expansion, we are currently looking for experienced Senior Java developers to join our high-energy R&D department based in Limerick Ireland.
 
We want highly motivated engineers to be part of an agile development team within a fast-paced environment. The position will be based at our headquarters in Limerick, Ireland.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an innovative and stable company driving the development of cutting edge software solutions for the global mobile telecommunications market.
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands on role which will involve design, reviews, coding and trouble shooting
• Analysis and design in Java/Java JEE environment
• Develop high-level system architecture designs
• Drive these designs through development, testing, documentation and delivery
• Review of design, functional specifications and code
• Create and review test plans and test tools
•  Contribute to continuous process improvements
• Install and deliver developed applications to customer sites
• Report on project progression to Senior Management
• Provide team mentoring 

Senior Java Developers Job Requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• You will have a relevant degree, a minimum of 6 years industry experience (at least 4 years using Java) and a strong background in the following areas:
• Architecture and design skills
• Agile development methods, like SCRUMs and SPRINTs
• Virtualization, Cloud-based Applications, Amazon AWS, VM-ware, EC-2
• Strong Java and OO skills
• Standard OO design patterns
• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
• RDBMS experience encompassing schema design
• PL/SQL having used: MySQL, Oracle, PostGreSQL
• Spring Core Framework including Spring web flow, Spring MVC
• Maven and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Participation in the full software development lifecycle
• Software quality processes
• Development on a Linux/Unix platform
