Senior NVH Specialist Job Description

As a senior NVH Specialist, you will be working independently on validating Inalfa Roof Systems during the development, project and/or production phase. You will furthermore be leading NVH project and communicate with other project teams and customers. Final results and conclusions will be reported by you to the Team leader NVH, to which you report directly as well. You will work for the validation Department inside the Inalfa Group based in Venray, the Netherlands (HQ. In Venray, more than 750 specialists work together on the development and assembly of roof systems for (mainly) European OEM customers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Independently lead NVH development projects on Operating Sound Quality, S&R and aero acoustic performance;
• Advice and support Research, Development and Engineering in product development on NVH performance;
• Translating the customer NVH requirements, specification and expectations into physical verification and validation plans (DV, PV and SPV plans);
• Understanding of CAE/FEM methods used in NVH development;
• Support Testing strategy regarding NVH for the coming five years together with the Validation Management;
• Define the required test equipment specifications and release test reports for the internal approval flow;
• Support in technical releases of dedicated equipment for a certain project;
• Play a pro-active role in the development of new Products;
• Support in setting up the DFMEA for new products and developments.

• You have a relevant degree on a BSc or MSc level;
• You are a professional with at least 8 years of experience in NVH, preferably in the automotive test environment;
• You bring good problem solving skills, 6 sigma knowledge is a definite advantage;
• Good knowledge on global safety regulations and requirements;
• Ability to produce guidelines, norms, handbooks and work instructions;
• Experience and knowledge of vibration equipment, both hydraulic & electronic dynamic shaker systems, and BSR;
• Experiences are required in modal analysis (EMA/FEM), Transfer path analysis, and HEAD Acoustics;
• Data acquisition software knowledge on Labview and matlab;
• It is important to have good communication skills in English, Dutch and German.
