Electric cars have the potential to benefit everyone tremendously. Not only do they provide a way to reduce emissions and thereby provide us with cleaner air in our cities, electric cars are an important part of the solution to mitigate climate change.
At Lightyear, we love electric cars and know they will prove a turning point in history. We started the Lightyear because we could not just be bystanders of the electric car revolution. We have a very strong drive to accelerate the introduction of electric cars around the globe.
Do you have a broad technical background, focussing mainly on electronics and software? Is focussing on the "big picture" your thing? As a Systems Integration Engineer you will focus on the entire system of the Lightyear One. You are responsible for making sure that the hardware and software function together to create an unique car the world hasn't seen before!
We envision a shift from traditional environment polluting vehicles to clean and affordable mobility. It is our mission to disrupt the electric car market by providing zero emission mobility for everyone, everywhere. We are on the brink of a breakthrough with the upcoming introduction of the Lightyear One. Do you want to contribute to these world changing goals? Are you looking to make an impact, do you want that everything you do has influence? And are ambition, independence, honesty, sustainability and equality important to you?
At Lightyear, we are looking for systems integration engineers, succeeding as a Systems Integration Engineer at Lightyear entails being well rounded technically. As well as having good interpersonal skills to make sure you get all the information/data you need from the different systems.
Solving system integration problems requires the ability to understand all the different components of the Lightyear One. As a System Integration Engineer you are the person who will untangle complex issues that arise when different systems of the car are being developed and when they are combined within the total system.
It will be your responsibility to collect, understand and analyze the different requirements within the multidisciplinary engineering teams and turn this into a perfect working system. This will require you to perform a wide variety of tasks, such as solving middleware issues, participate in technical discussions with other system integration engineers and engineers from different systems. Also you have the ability to really go in depth within a system to understand the details of the application.
Do you have a critical attitude with which you foresee and prevent future issues in an early phase? Are you strong in communication and able to understand engineers of other disciplines and explain them the implications of design choices for software? Then we are looking for you!
