Weibel Scientific A/S has been engaged in technology since 1936, when Marius Peter Weibel founded the Danish electronics company M. P. Weibel. In 1977, the Weibel family stepped out of the business, and Erik Tingleff Larsen founded Weibel Scientific, gradually moving from the production of optical detectors into the pioneering work with radar systems. The success of this venture allowed Weibel Scientific to expand beyond the Danish borders with the opening of Weibel GmbH in Germany in 1989 and Weibel Equipment Inc. in the U.S. in 1993.

From 1992, Erik Tingleff Larsen ran the privately owned, independent corporation jointly with current CEO and President Peder R. Pedersen. In 2002, Pedersen assumed sole responsibility for Weibel Scientific’s day-to-day management, with Larsen remaining sole shareholder and chairman of the board. Weibel Scientific achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2005.

Today more than 85 people work at the company headquarters in Alleroed, north of Copenhagen, designing and producing the world’s most advanced Doppler radars. With a creative and innovative eye for business and technology, Weibel Scientific’s management and staff have taken the company to where it is today: number one in the production and development of Doppler radars.

Development, testing and implementation of top class SW solutions 
In close collaboration with your colleagues, you define and develop innovative software solutions for tracking and surveillance radars. Additionally, you structure, design and implement the solutions in our systems. As such, you have the opportunity to apply your skills all the way from first idea to final product. You will: 

• Develop methods for detecting and tracking drones 
• Implement solutions for real-time execution on either CPU’s or GPU’s. 
• Build knowledge and test methods in electronic warfare 
• Develop methods for robust association of detections from multiple objects in complex environments 
• Design, test and implement prototypes at the Weibel Test Center

Strong theoretical background in signal analysis and DSP  
You have an education as Engineer or a related degree in the field of natural science. This is backed by:   
 

• A strong theoretical background in signal analysis and DSP  
• Programming skills – if you do not already know C++, Matlab, and CUDA you are highly motivated to learn 
• The ability to independently define, analyze, and evaluate different solutions 
• Solid collaborating skills 
• Passion for bringing your ideas to the table 
• Your curious personality also makes it a natural part of your work to investigate alternative solutions. Finally, you will need good English skills including the ability to communicate your results in an effective and structured manner.
