Senior Electronics Design Engineer Power/Embedded Job Description

Job Description
Based in South West Hampshire, the Senior Embedded Hardware Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and designing electronic firmware (and some software) content for electronic products.


Principal duties and responsibilities include:
- Reviewing product specifications and proposing technical solutions
- Brainstorming ideas for new products
- Researching, developing and designing electronic products, including:-
- Embedded Software Development in C
- Electronic Development, Design and Prototype
- Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
- Application and Test Software Development
- Produce reliable, high quality products, fit for manufacture, that meets industry standards (EMC etc)
- Liaise with Production Engineering Dept.
- Liaise with existing and potential customers to help build/enhance relationships and lastly;
- Mentor Junior Engineers to help develop the team further.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a good degree in Electronics Engineering (or related), have a strong track record within the Electronics industry (embedded/hw), be creative/innovative, be passionate about electronics and development of new products as well as being commercially aware of designing products for minimal cost.
