The BU Products provides software-based solutions to strategic customers to monitor renewable energy plants. In order to reinforce this fast growing team, we are looking for a Software Test Engineer.
As Software Test Engineer you
· Participate in requirements definition, verify that requirements are testable, and provide preliminary recommendations for how each will be tested.
· Participate to design meetings (agile environment) from a testing perspective and represent the strategy for testing (preventive testing)
· Cover all aspects of product testing including Functional, Regression, Performance, Usability, and Integration at the highest level of proficiency.
· Provide leadership in the development, publication, and implementation of test plans, the writing and maintenance of automated test scripts, and the development of testing standards and quality metrics.
· Execute tests according to the project processes and procedures and document the test results
· Ensure cross-team and cross-department coordination and cooperation
Profile
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university
· Minimum 3 years of testing experience that covers multiple platforms, architectures, programming languages, development and testing methodologies, and software development lifecycles
· Experience serving as the lead tester of a software testing team is a plus
· Experience with automated testing tools and develop automated web based regression test scripts
· Experience with different scripting languages like perl, unix shell scripts, sql scripts in order to automate the tests.
· Experience with using QA tools for automation
· Experience with Junit and Selenium development
· Experience testing thin-client (Browser based) applications
· Experience with, coverage, error analysis and error reporting
· Experience in agile environment is a plus.
Skills
A top tester isn't just someone who can find bugs. A top tester isn't even just someone who can develop a strategy to find bugs and lead a team in executing that strategy.
· Advanced knowledge of software engineering and testing methodologies, software development lifecycles, and programming languages, operating systems and relational databases.
· Experience with high volume application testing environment is an asset.
· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical data
