Job Mission
ASML’s Development & Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and integration of the ASML products. As an Engineering Manager/Group Leader within the sector Development & Engineering you lead and manage a group of professionals in the area of Imaging systems in ASML’s lithographic products. You are responsible for the Architecture and (opto-) mechanical design of Imaging functions, which are reliable, stable, safe, contamination free, cost effective and easy to manufacture and service.
Job Description
As part of the staff of the Opto Mechanics department, you will manage one of the groups responsible delivering the mechanical design and architecture of our imaging systems. You are responsible for the technology choices, the specification, design, integration and qualification of (sub)systems within the boundaries imposed by process and planning. You pro-actively drive the development work in your team and participate in reviewing designs. But above all, you will use your leadership and teamwork skills to solve problems and optimize team performance.Main responsibilities:Manage resources (approx. 25 people) in a group, working with team-leaders who take operational responsibility within projects under your supervision.Define and implement the competence and resource roadmap for your group.Interact with project leaders on technical content and allocation of people to projects in line with program needs.Review project plans and proactively support project realization.Manage the delivery of design solutions in your group that meet the requirements of the ASML development programs.Review technical solutions proposed, technical product and decision documentation produced by the group.Coaching of group members.Work with co-developers and external staff supplying parties to enable and manage development projects on site at ASML or at co-developer sites.
Education
Bachelor and/or Master degree or PhD degree in Precision Mechanics, Opto-Mechanics or (Opto) Mechatronics.
Experience
At least 10 years experience in developing, integrating and testing complex multi disciplinary products. Solid theoretical and experimental experience specification, architecture and design of (opto)mechanical/mechatronic systems, preferably in a machine environment. Experience in managing a group of technical professionals either as project manager or line manager.
