Job Mission
As Technical Author, you will write, review, publish and maintain the technical documentation for Metrology Industrialization. You will get your input from manufacturing and equipment engineers. Your support structurally improves the quality and usability of our procedures. These procedures are used for setting up, servicing and upgrading our machines in the factory and field.The Metrology competence enables and implements control of the ASML system and its functions on nanometer levels of accuracy by means of mathematical modeling of the system and its functions. The products delivered to the factory and service organization are software packages.

Job Description
Convert input from engineers and/or development documentation into effective technical documentation for ASML products according to the specifications and standards.

• Create and modify procedures for factory and service operations.
• Create and make changes to illustrations and convert illustrations to the required publishing format.
• Use documentation tools and apply the ASML style to the created or modified documents.
• Ensure all technical documentation has the correct spelling, grammar and style so that it complies with one uniform high standard.
• Specify requirements concerning illustrations, technical input or user feedback.
• Signal problems with technical documentation and propose scenarios for solutions or escalate.
• Act as a first point of contact on issues with documentation relating to the various projects and for handling incoming comments.

Technical Author Metrology Job Requirements

Education
Master or Bachelor degree in a technical area and experience as Technical author.

Experience

• 3 or more years of working experience as a Technical Author.
• ASML experience is preferred.
• Experience with an XML editor is an advantage.
• Experience with Arbortext (EPIC) software is an advantage.
• Experience in the use of a Content Management System.

• Fluent both in written and verbal English.
• Good one-on-one communication skills.
• Focused on quality, continuous improvement.
• Flexible, pragmatic and gets the job done.
• Team player and engages others to take action.
• Works precisely and has an eye for details.
