SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture is Europe's leading technological research institute aimed at the fisheries and aquaculture sector. We have 120 dedicated employees who are biologists, technologists, programmers and analysts. We are located at Brattørkaia with a beautiful view to the fjord. We have an international staff with employees from 17 nations.

This summer we are searching for 12 students who will be working on various projects with follow-up of our project managers. Summer jobs are starting in June and lasts for 8 weeks. We require you to work 6 of the 8 weeks and will do our best to help our students become a good summer team. During the work period, we will take you all out on a trip to a fish farm and with young in SINTEF, we ensure more social activities.  

Examples of projects we need help on:
• Develop ROV / AUV for operations in  connection with aquaculture
• Develop more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient fishing gear and fishing vessels
• Document climate effects of fisheries activities
• Analyzis in marine biotechnology, enzyme technology, lipids and proteins
• Analysis of large data ranges from fish farming
• Develop decision support systems
• Develop automated processes on board  fishingboats
• Develop techniques for deployment of seeded lines on supporting ropes
