CAD Engineer Interior Trim Job Description

Are you an experienced and talented CAD Engineer? 
At least 2 years of experience in preferably automotive interior trim?
Can you speak and write English but even better German fluently?

Responsibilities
As a CAD Engineer Interior Trim you are responsible for making the vehicle interior comfortable, functional and producible without affecting vehicle safety.

• CAD Engineering of interior trim parts in Catia V5 (Catia V6 knowledge is a plus)
• Participate in the iterative process with the styling department to deliver the optimal part in terms of cost, quality and timing
• Optimize designs by analytical and physical assessments
• Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into the product design
• Create and maintain tolerance stacks

Requirements

• A Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
• At least 2 years of experience in automotive interior trim components, demonstrating technical aptitude from concept through development.
• Understanding of the fundamentals in design and engineering concerning trim and systems and able to presented related examples.
• In-depth technical expertise with the latest manufacturing technologies and feasibility execution to achieve systems requirements.
• 3D modeling utilizing CAD within a product development environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, including familiarity with GD&T and dimensional engineering.
• A good understanding of the English and German (must) language in writing and oral. Dutch is preferred.
