This high-power HF phased array was composed of 180 directional antennas supplying 3.6 megawatts of RF power, built on 33 acres and able to temporarily energize areas of the ionosphere.

(Senior) Manufacturing Engineers/NPI Managers Job Description

Immediate opening for manufacturing engineers with a strong background in mechanical and/or electronics assembly in a high volume manufacturing environment. Proven experience with design for manufacturability and design for cost principles using contract manufacturing partners. Pushing the boundaries of the manufacturing processes to support product innovation. Periodic international travel may be required to support manufacturing ramp up.

Key responsibilities:

• Actively participate in cross-functional teams where you own the industrialization and New Product Introduction processes from product concept into mass production until the product is no longer supported anymore.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet margin requirements by driving design for manufacturability and design for cost principles.
• Ramp up assigned projects into mass production at selected manufacturing partners.
• During mass production phase drive ongoing yield improvement, efficiency improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Drive closed loop corrective actions in case of quality issues.
• Own the relation with our supply chain base from a technical level for assigned projects.

(Senior) Manufacturing Engineers/NPI Managers Job Requirements

The following qualifications are needed:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; Master will be a plus
• Engineering background with proven experience of injection molding and electronics manufacturing processes. Experience with RF products will be a plus.
• Self directed, able to work independently as well as being a team contributor.
• Understanding of Asia business culture.
• Good writing and oral communication skills in the main languages used within The Antenna Company: English (required), Dutch (desired).
