Engineer/scientist Job Description

The engineer/scientist is a core member of the revolt technical team. S/he is responsible for generating technological advancement in a specific realm of engineering/science directly related to rechargeable metal-air battery development. The engineer/scientist will provide foundational insight into relevant engineering/science discipline and state of the art of component development. The engineer/scientist will generate and test hypotheses intended to advance the technology, designing and executing experiments in collaboration with other engineers/scientists and laboratory staff. This work may include the development of intellectual property subsequently owned and used by revolt technology in the marketplace.

Engineer/scientist Job Requirements

• MS/PhD in an applied engineering or science discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or similar background preferred), or equivalent industry experience in demonstrated technical leadership roles.
• 5+ years work experience in battery systems or fuel-cells
• Expert-level knowledge and teaching skills in the use of statistical tools
• Balanced background in the theory and application of electrochemical principles to battery manufacture, experience within the metal-air battery arena would be a benefit
• Peer leadership, role modeling and experience with high-performing teams is essential to the job
• Experience working within the systematic/procedural framework of a successful intermediate to large company is a plus
• Excellent skills in using MS Office
• Language: German and English - good knowledge of oral/written
