Purpose:
As a Service Engineer at Life Technologies, you become part of the Nordic team serving Life Technologies’ Nordic customers. We are recruiting a new team member who is positive in nature, service-minded and educational in the approach with customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, maintain and provide instructions of use of instruments to ensure safe and effective customer operations
- Provide responsive telephone and on-site support
- Work to ensure that the customer is successful in the use of their instrumentation
- Assure professional relationship with existing customers to achieve customer loyalty
- Up-sell service contracts and products via Flip (Field lead incentive program)
- Support colleagues in sales by providing sales leads
- Coordinate own work schedule with relevant partners (service coordinator, manager, colleagues)
- Produce timely and accurate reports of your own activities: i.e. engineer reports, planned maintenance reports, installation reports, expense reports etc.
- Perform service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal and customer procedures and regulations
Field Services Engineer Job Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Professional background in electronics / biochemistry / engineering / life sciences or related areas
- Relevant experience within a service function
- Technical certificate or an academic degree an asset
- Driving license required
- Strong English verbal and written language skills required
- Good Scandinavian language skills an advantage
- Troubleshooting knowledge and experience
- Dedicated and updated on practical and technical knowledge at a high level
- Strong IT networking skills with good understanding of IT
- Able to work independently as the position is field based with remote management
