The Aircraft Systems Engineer converts the functional and technical requirements at aircraft / helicopter system level into functional and technical specifications at product level. 


Tasks and responsibilities:

• contributing to the design of systems and structure
• performing safety analysis, in particular failure mode and effect analysis
• assuring that the effects of systems-structure interaction are taken into account in the design of systems and/or structures
• defining the down flow of product requirements towards requirement specifications for systems and components
• identifying the system requirements relevant for components and topics as technical specialist
• drawing up detailed work package descriptions, including detailed scope, planning and cost calculations
• supporting the Chief Engineer in integration and certification of systems
• showing compliance with the certification requirements according to FAA and EASA
• initiating, coordinating and monitoring the controlled and orderly technical execution of the planned activities.

Aircraft Systems Engineer Job Requirements

Function Requirements:
 

• Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience
• Knowledge of aircraft and /or helicopter systems
• Knowledge of certification requirements
• Knowledge of failure mode and effect analysis as part of a safety analysis
• Fluent in English
