Introduction
Do you want to work on the forefront of semiconductor manufacturing by designing integral application solutions around the world’s most advanced lithography tools? If so, this role could be perfect for you!
Job Mission
As a Design Engineer Alignment you contribute to the improvement of on-product overlay by developing and integrating wafer fab applications that optimize the alignment between layers, consisting of printed features on product wafers and thus contributing to customer’s yield and profitability.
Job Description
As a design engineer alignment you will be responsible to design, integrate and verify alignment control solutions that are developed across multiple development teams. You will support these development teams by providing overviews with technical dependencies, by supporting early evaluations at customers and returning the feedback to the development teams, and by identifying, addressing and reducing risks and verifying final product performance including proof book data collection.
You are responsible for creating and refining ASML’s application products that will improve the on-product performance of our customers. You will do this in close collaboration with the customer, and connected to the introduction of a new technology node in production of the customer. Your proposals for application product improvement can cover a wide variety of solutions concerning process fingerprint root cause analysis, choices in process control strategies, metrology mark choice and design and process optimization. The findings will also be used for improvement in the scanner modules.
You are expected to represent ASML as an expert in the field and to get recognition for this by the customers.
In this job you will:Maximize the application of ASML products to the benefit of the customer;Participate actively in identifying future product features and new application product development; You’ll also be responsible for designing and prototyping models in Matlab; You’ll also be responsible for customer data analysis;Deliver validated product improvement proposals that can be implemented by software engineers.
You will need to combine your creative problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to develop and integrate innovative control solutions and to resolve disturbances quickly and if needed to come up with mitigation solutions to ensure program continuation.EducationMSc. Or BSc. degree in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Chemical), with a solid background in statistics, data analysis, optics, semiconductor process technology or semiconductor device physics.
Experience
We are looking for people with 0-5 years of experience in an industrial research, development, or process control organization and preferably experience with overlay and/or wafer alignment within the semiconductor industry.
