Consultant for condition assessments of concrete constructions Job Description

We are looking for a new employee for BetongCentrum in Southern Sweden, which is a part of the Danish Technological Institute, which has leading specialists, including in the field of concrete. We are looking for someone to conduct condition assessments and damage analysis of concrete in Sweden and Denmark.

Condition assessment and sales
BetongCentrum consists of our technical manager and you, our forthcoming consultant. Together with the technical manager, you will be given great freedom for developing BetongCentrum. Your place of work will be in Malmø or another location in Southern Sweden, but you will also have an office space in the Danish Technological Institute in Taastrup, Denmark. There is a large market potential in Sweden, which, together with the technical manager you will help to uncover in close collaboration with the Concrete Centre at the Danish Technological Institute. This means that by working closely with the technical manager, you will identify and seek new customers to expand the business. You will also conduct field investigations and solve any issues for our existing customers in Sweden and Denmark. The daily work for our new Swedish team in BetongCentrum mainly consists of condition assessments of concrete constructions, reporting the results and establishing networks among customers from both the public and the private sectors. You will also be working a considerable amount of time in Denmark from our Danish office in Taastrup close to Copenhagen. There are also plenty of opportunities here for training and learning from your Danish colleagues. The position allows plenty of possibilities to create your own framework and job content if you are the right person with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to create business across the Öresund region. On a daily basis, you will report to team leader Henrik Erndahl Sørensen from the Danish Concrete Centre.

Engineer with knowledge of concrete and condition assessments?
You have a relevant degree, such as engineering.  You have the knowledge and are a technical specialist in concrete. You regard the development of our concrete activities and customer portfolio as an exciting challenge and you are motivated to solve problems in dialogue with the customers and share your professional knowledge. You have experience with/want to work with state assessment and field investigation. You want to develop your skills further by sparring with Danish colleagues and you are prepared to work both independently a well as in teams. You should be able to formulate yourself in writing and should expect a fair amount of travelling in Sweden and Denmark.
