Channel Development Specialist (m/f) Job Description
Channel Development Specialist (m/f) The Channel Development Specialist is responsible for the creation, coordination, harmonization and execution of partner marketing programs, events and initiatives that increase the number of our partners, build awareness and increase brand loyalty in the IT Channel. The overall goal is to empower the channel business units / sales teams to meet and exceed their revenue goals. In his role, the Channel Development Specialist focusses on enabling, educating and activating our channel partners by providing a framework for successful partnership.
The Channel Development Specialist uses in-depth knowledge of channel partners, products, markets, channels, and competitors. The Channel Development Specialist also serves as a functional expert and manages staff directly.
This Position will work as part of an international team to drive NovaStor messaging through our
partners to their customers and prospects. Teaming with executive management, product marketing, marcom team members and sales, the Channel Development Specialist will collaborate to understand objectives and goals, verify/recommend and deliver programs and materials to positively impact revenue, awareness and channel enablement.
Partner Development
- Development, implementation and adaption of an comprehensive OLSR partner program
- Benchmark the Partner Program and Partner Management Success
- Plans, implements and measures activities to increase partner loyalty
- Develop and drive training and education programs through the reseller channel (incl. Certification, local Events, Webinars)
Partner Lead Generation
- Create and run effective marketing programs, campaigns & promotions to ignite partner acquisition, activation and retention (incl. offering potential and existing partners the right mix of financial and non-financial incentives in emails, direct mail or webinars)
- Research, evaluation and booking of external online marketing options (like, external mailing databases, websites, etc.)
- Develop and produce marketing material and provide marketing support for our existing channel partners and distributors
Partner Communication
- Work with channel managers and key partners, use market research and data to build marketing plans leveraging our materials and co-funding. Establish and monitor metrics to gauge program effectiveness
- Point of contact for all partner marketing activities (incl. Creating presentations and marketing collateral)
- Weekly/monthly tracking and reporting on all programs and results. Effectively communicate the results to sales and management for continuous improvement and refinement
Channel Development Specialist (m/f) Job Requirements
Requirements
- BS / BA Marketing. University degree / MBA a plus.
- 2+ years of Channel Marketing experience in the high tech industry
- Fluent in German and English
- Online and offline marketing experience
- Ability to succeed strategically and tactically
- Ability to successfully communicate and collaborate cross functionally and drive major projects
- Desire to get involved and lead initiatives
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet milestones on a timely manner
- Ability to collaborate with team members and external resources, with strong team-building experience and demonstrated ability to navigate in a matrix environment to generate results.
- Ability to achieve success in a flexible, dynamic environment
- Travel will be a necessary part of this job
- Must have working knowledge of personal computing, using Microsoft OS, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook
