Job description
The tasks and responsibilities of the Design Engineer Special Projects include:
• Creating and improving designs.
• Making calculations (mechanical/strength calculations).
• During the design process at all times take into account the international standards and norms and the directives of our client.
• The delivery of accurate and comprehensive information and Bill Of Materials information.
• Analyzing and translating wishes and needs of dealers and the sales department into technical solutions.
• Providing support to the process engineers of the Assembly lines
• The determination of test and inspection requirements (in consultation with the test engineers and inspectors)
• Solving problems with regard to design and operation of custom-made options.
Job requirements (desired)
• A rounded training Bachelor Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent training).
• Design experience in the field of automotive-related vehicles.
• Experience with working with PRO Engineer (or a similar drawing program).
• Good knowledge of English (speaking and writing).
• Knowledge of hydraulics/mechanics/electronics.
• It is an advantage when you have experience with production processes.
• Knowledge of (mircosoft) Office Packages.
• Good communication skills (in dealing with the engineers, salespeople, Assembly fitters, etc)
