About the Job
The modeling engineer will work together other modeling engineer to model and characterize active and passive components in all NXP supported technologies. You will define and verify electrical component Spice models for Spectre that can be used for circuit simulation to enable fast and accurate 1st time right design. The candidate will also develop and maintain an innovative and effective device modeling infrastructure using state of art measurement equipment and modeling methodologies. Additionally, the modeling engineer will also be require to define and design test structures, define and carry out appropriate measurements on silicon, model extraction from silicon through ICCAP software and targeting or non-typical silicon and more.
The Design Kit Development Group is located in Nijmegen and Caen and consists of 2 main development competence areas of Process Technology Package and Modeling Characterization & Process Block. The group is responsible for timely providing Design Kits and consultancy for all technologies, enabling the IC-design community to develop new products in the area of High Performance Mixed Signal CMOS-technologies, RF-, High Voltage-, Power Circuit- and Mainstream technologies.
About You
NXP is looking for candidates who have 3-5 years of working experience and affinity with semiconductor device physics, design tools, chip development applications in digital, mixed signal, RF and/or high voltage domain. The modeling engineer should have experience and skills in software development, data processing, and computer engineering. He/she should be a team worker, willing to work in international and multi-disciplinary teams, and with good communication skills.
