Field Application Engineer Job Description

Our client has already more than eighty years a good reputation when it comes to design, manufacturing and sales of flow and level measurement instruments. The company is active in more than 40 countries worldwide. Driven by innovation it's one of the main producers in this industry. The customer, located in Dordrecht, currently has 350 employees and is responsible for the development and production of magnetic inductive and ultrasonic flow meters.

Your main responsibilities
The Field Application Engineer is responsible for the performance of preventative and corrective maintenance/monitoring activities national as well as international. The repair and troubleshooting service to flow and level instrumentation is central in this position. In addition, takes the Field Application Engineer, care for a correct implementation of the reports involving a good in- and external communication.

• Functional inspection of flow-and level instrumentation.
• Identifying deficiencies and impending failures and adequate problem solving.
• Perform repairs to or replacement of parts of the instrumentation.
• Assist start-up of installations/commisioning.
• Punctual care of administrative work including drafting work and audit reports.
• Record additional work for clients.

Field Application Engineer Job Requirements

Your qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred.
• Number of years experience in similar function desired.
• In possession of a VCA basic diploma and a driving licence.
• Solution oriented from start to completion of the project.
• Analytical ability with good social skills.
• Initiative, communicative and commercially strong.
