Radiation Protection Technician (m/f)
Your Tasks
- Contribute to the implementation of an integrated RP service
- Support the installation, commissioning and testing of an active radiation
- monitoring system
- Test and calibrate various types of mobile radiation and activation
- monitors
- Take care of detector quality assurance
- Assist the accelerator team during commissioning to take RP measures
- Take over general RP tasks during operation, like survey measurements,
- transport of radioactive material, radioactive waste management
We offer an interesting and challenging position in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, in a unique and very innovative radiation facility. You will have the opportunity to get to know different aspects of Radiation Protection in medicine, accelerator environment and research.
For the vacant position there is a minimum remuneration of EUR 35.000,-- p.a. We are willing to pay according to the market depending on qualification and experience.
Radiation Protection Technician (m/f) Job Requirements
- Graduate of a technical college or higher technical school or similar
- Knowledge of radiation physics and radiation measurement methods
- Experience in laboratory work procedures
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other teams in an international and multidisciplinary environment
- Flexibility to adapt to new challenges
- The graduation of an officially certified RP course is an asset but not mandatory
