Software Test Engineer, (m/f) Job Description

What are your tasks and responsibilities:

You are responsible for the field of automated testing, as well as for developing new test concepts and for extending those. You are capable of maintaining and operating a CI server (e.g. Jenkins). You evaluate test results in test reports and provide these to the team in a worked up manner. Additionally, you support the incident management with the help of a bug tracker (e.g. JIRA). Here you collect and organize the external feedback and bug reports and prepare this in the bugtracker in a reproducible form for the entire development team.

What you need for this position:

• Excellent written and oral language skills in English, German basic knowledge is highly desirable
• Knowledge in usage of a Bug tracking tool
• Knowledge in usage of a Test management tool
• Knowledge in usage of Selenium, Cucumber or Fitnesse would be a plus
• Being able to profile a running Java process
• Know about multithreading and issues driven by concurrent accesses to a web-service
• Being able to write procedural and object oriented code. Ruby and Python are preferable.
• Programming experience (Ruby is a plus, but C/C++, Python and/or Java will also be fine, they can learn ruby quite easily if they've worked with some of the other 3 languages).
• Being able to sniff non-SSL traffic to reverse a network API call
• AWK/SED/CURL should be known as good as reading
• Able to use proxies
• Experience building websites, and specifically using Firebug to debug these websites
• jQuery / Xpath / XQuery would be a plus
• Experience with a Version Control system
