Product Assurance Engineer Job Description

As Product Assurance Engineer you ensure that the quality of processes, methods and techniques used for projects meet the standards as defined by Client and their Customers. Processes involved are design, development, test and operations. You will be part of a Quality Management Unit and will be reporting to the Quality Manager.
 
Main duties include:

• Quality Control; monitoring, inspection and auditing
• Quality Assurance; detect and solve quality issues, process management
• Validate / audit external suppliers of flight hardware & related services
• Prepare product quality paragraph for commercial offerings.

• Control and assure the quality and safety of project deliverables
• Safeguard RAMS requirements and conduct Reliability & Safety analyses.
• Secure requirements for parts, materials, processes and EEE components
• Administer configuration
• Recordkeeping and follow-up of Non-Conformances and various request types.  
• Participate in project meetings
• Chairman of Acceptance & Review Boards for project deliverables
• Member of the Change Control Board.
• Manage good relationship with the Product Assurance Manager at the Customer
• Entitled to impose a veto in case the quality of project deliverables are at stake
• Periodical reporting of quality status to Project Lead
• Responsible for all Data Packages from Critical Design Review to Delivery.

Product Assurance Engineer Job Requirements

• Master of Science in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
• 3+ year relevant experience in Quality Assurance & Control
• Understanding and affinity with doing projects
• Techniques abilities: jointing, spatial aptitude, measuring, computation, computing
• Familiar with: milling, fine mechanics, assembly/installation, gluing, packaging.
• Software proficiency: ERP, MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, workflow
• Materials knowledge: mechanical, raw, types of glue, fastenings, packaging
• Know-how in materials classifications & regulations: ESA-SCC, MIL-SPEC, ITAR
• Proficient in English
