Objectives single point of contact focused on customer satisfaction with regard to on-time-delivery of quotations and reduction of cycle times for order entry for assigned pump business units in order to help increase the seal/system on site bookings
The Application Engineer, part of the Customer Service Order Acquisition (CSOA) team in The Netherlands, is reporting to the CSOA Manager and is assigned to service the Pump CSOA teams in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical selections (Seals and Systems) and pricing in response to
RFQ's in the requested time frame.
- Interact with Chennai Engineering Center as needed to support the quotation process
- Complete Engineering/Contract review of purchase order prior to entering data into EIS for seals and auxiliary products. Clarify with customer any unclear or inaccurate information on the PO in a prompt manner.
- Ensure EIS records for seals and auxiliary product orders are entered cleanly.
- Ensure seal and auxiliary product orders are entered into the business system
within a clearly specified time frame from receipt/clarification.
Job qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
2. Experience as an Application Engineer in a technical/engineering role is preferred
3. Knowledge of rotating equipment (particularly seals/pumps) is strongly recommended
4. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required
(good Dutch communication skills are preferred)
5. High level of desk-top computer proficiency
6. Be customer and service focused, flexible and open to change
7. Must be a self-starter that is able to work with minimum supervision
and have the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilitie
