The department:
The engineering group of Lely Industries is involved - among other things - in the development of the Lely Astronaut milking robot. This department is responsible for verifying the improvements and renewals that are applied to machines and software.

Due to the strong growth of our organisation we would like to get in touch with a Software Testing Engineer (m/f) (40 hours, location Rotterdam).

The function:
You are responsible (technically and functionally) for testing embedded software. Through testing you assess the quality of this software. Testing operations are carried out partly in our test laboratory and partly on one of our test farms.

Major activities:

• Setting up testing plans and carrying out test scripts
• Development of testing methods as well as written and verbal reporting on test results
• Sustaining quality and ensuring a smooth roll-out on the basis of test results of products to be released, thereby taking improvements and upgrades into account
• Co-operating with Software Engineers as a sparring partner and establishing directions for solutions by mutual arrangement
• Reviewing and assessing designs, blueprints and relevant manuals

Software Testing Engineer (m/f) Job Requirements

Your background:

• Higher professional education or university level - information science
• Demonstrable affinity with automation
• You are independent, accurate, stress resistant, flexible, creative, result-oriented and analytical
• You have excellent social and communication skills
• A good spoken and written command of the Dutch and English language is a must
