About the start-up

Clusterall is a web 3.0 start-up being created aiming to launch a scalable networking platform for legal, finance and HR professionals. The platform will centralize content, add personalization and publish. It will be a private network facilitating professional contacts and business development for its members.

Mission

To constitute the team we are looking for a Senior Architect / Back-end Developer. In collaboration with a Front-end developer (to be recruited) and another developer (also to be recruited), your task will consist in creating a dynamic web platform. You will ensure that the platform uses latest web technologies. You will be responsible for the creation, development and testing of the platform.  

You will have to integrate and set a part-of-speech tagger module (syntax analysis, cross-language, semantic analysis, automatic categorization with machine learning). Support will be provided by the module’s creator.

A back office and a workflow engine will also have to be implemented with close attention to the integration aspect.

A social network with instant messaging, discussion groups and online clearing will also have to be created.

The platform will allow the processing/visualization of a considerable amount of data and will serve a large number of users.

Senior Architect / Back-end Developer Job Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field with at least 7 years work experience in developing frameworks and massive back-ends
• Exceptional B.S. candidates with 7 years work experience will also be considered
• Software development skills: PHP (OOP), Java, SQL, XML, C/C++, REST
• Strong systems programming background. Multi-process, multi-threaded, distributed computing, performance analysis and optimization experience highly desirable
• Strong algorithmic development experience and structuring with BigData systems such as Hadoop
• Good understanding of PiG, Hive and mapreduce
• Demonstrated expertise in developing high performing and complex server applications
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience with web crawling
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Familiar with applications such as Facebook, Linkedin and other various APIs
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments, tools and utilities
• Interested in mobile applications
• Working structured and independently
• Strong teamwork skills. Able to lead a team of developers
• Good communication skills
• Creative and ambitious
• Working language is French or Dutch. Very good knowledge of English is essential.
