This is developed using an internal Open Source model that invites the company’s best engineers to contribute. A recent EA wide celebration of excellence included that “the EA Tech team are the unsung heroes, and responsible for pushing the boundaries of quality and innovation for our company.”   Following our recent success with franchises such as FIFA, Need For Speed, NHL and Skate, we are looking for highly motivated and talented graduates to join our high calibre group. You would be working as part of a small team, directly engaged with game teams around the globe to deliver outstanding physics innovation and performance on PS3, Xbox360, iPhone, iPad, Android and new platforms as they emerge. The role will include opportunities to grow your experience and skills as well as travel to other EA locations and work directly with our users.   EATech is based in a dedicated and modern office in the centre of Guildford that is a bright and fun place to work.  There is easy access to the main station, town centre and other amenities.     Key Responsibilities:  

    • Deliver innovative solutions to some the industries toughest gameplay problems
    • Working on the continued development of our collision, simulation and tools libraries
    • Executing on all aspects of software engineering including testing, debugging and optimisation.
    • Working with our team, the customers and our product owners to understand customer needs and delivering on their highest priority features and requirements.

    Graduate Physics Software Engineers Job Requirements

    Requirements:  

    • A degree in Math, Physics or Computer Science or equivalent
    • Good level understanding of mechanics, math and numerical methods.
    • Demonstrable passion to learn and to be part of a deeply technical team
    • Great communication skills
     
    Desirable skills:  
    • C/C++ programming in any domain including games,  graphics, networking, GUIs, Image Processing, codecs, OpenGL, Direct3D, DirectX etc
    • Physics domain expertise and knowledge of game physics and animation.
