Extron Electronics, headquartered in Anaheim, California, is a leading manufacturer of professional A/V system integration products including A/V control systems, computer-video interfaces, switchers, matrix switchers, distribution amplifiers, audio amplifiers, speakers, twisted pair and fiber optic equipment, video scalers, A/V signal processors, classroom sound field systems, and high resolution cable.
Applications Engineer
The Extron Applications Engineer (AE) position is a technical support position within the Extron Sales Department.
- The primary responsibilities of this position revolve around manning the S3 Hot Line, and as such the position requires an individual to perform both technical/engineering and sales/customer service related tasks.
- In addition, a number of other responsibilities may be required of the Extron AE from time to time, as detailed below.
The Extron AE must be a top-notch technical expert on Extron products and related AV products and applications. He or she must also be a salesman, a presenter, an advisor and a friend to the Extron client base. The position requires some travel. It also requires that an individual be available of the Extron AE throughout his or her career, as the needs of Extron change and evolve.
Applications Engineer (Russia, France) Job Requirements
Requirements:
This position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects from field reports of technical problems to delivery of solutions to customers. The ability to multitask and to see projects through to the completion of every detail is a must for this position.
- A thorough understanding of digital and analog electronics is required.
- Able to use an oscilloscope proficiently.
- Possess well-developed problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English with proven presentation skills.
- Strong computer background.
Experience in system engineering is required. Knowledge of any or all of the following is desirable – Video signals and systems, Audio signals and systems, computer networking. Experience in professional audio visual systems is desirable.
