Activities & Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading technology innovation and efficient production technology as part of the Mars business strategy
- Identifying, strategically assessing and leading the development of progressive or disruptive new technologies that are new to the food industry or to Mars
- Developing and executing external technology innovation plans, in close relationships with Mars food technology council, Global Technology leadership team, Commercial and Intellectual Property teams
- Managing a team of 2 managers and their 6 direct reports
- Providing leadership on fundamental and applied scientific understanding of food technologies for regional teams in Engineering, Production and R&D teams
- Developing concept lines and pilots of engineering solutions using internal and external capabilities with the aim to define the technical specification for an industrial solution
- Member of the European and Global Technology network, managing interdependencies and alignment for Technology related across regions
- Reporting to the R&D Food Vice President.

What we request - Master's degree in Process Technology, Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or Food Science, possibly with an additional PhD degree or a similar background
- Several years of experience in a leadership role within technology development or food processing, with robust competencies in mechanic, chemical engineering, electrical solutions
- Proven track record in creativity for breakthrough solutions.
- Outstanding problem solving skills combined with good developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English
- Willing to travel internationally 30% of the time
