For our Exact Online product development team in Delft we are looking for a Quality Engineer.

Exact Cloud Solutions Exact’s business unit Cloud Solutions is leading the way in providing online, multi-tenant, business software solutions to small and medium businesses.

The position of the quality engineer 

As a quality engineer you are a fully-fledged, first-class member of our team and you will participate in planning, estimating, scheduling, retrospectives and any other team activities.You will take the lead on incorporating automated acceptance tests and raising the visibility of end-to-end and scenario testing results. You will work in a SCRUM method. Due to the more technical topics the platform team is involved in, it is required to have a strong technical background.

Your responsibilities in the position of quality engineer

• Define the test approach of the platform team
• Review requirements and create specifications in conjunction with our product owner and the rest of the team
• Perform exploratory testing on key elements of our software and areas that are not automatically tested
• Co-assess impact and risks of development
• Creation of test scripts for automated testing and executing it
• You inspire the team to deliver high quality software in a short timeframe
• You have the passion to automate almost every test.

Quality Engineer Job Requirements

What qualifications make you ideal Quality Engineer?

• You are a professional (HBO level) with strong motivation to constantly improve yourself and your fellow team members and share your knowledge
• You have experience working in Agile teams and with agile methods like Behaviour Driven Development or Test Driven Development
• You have relevant experience with automated testing tools such as Telerik Test Studio or Test Framework, SpecFlow, StoryQ Fitnesse, Selenium, Cucumber, etc..
• You are able to grasp software development topics like Object Orientation  Design Patterns and are able to develop software
• You have effective verbal and written communications skills in English and preferably also in Dutch
• You are able to inspire the team in delivering high quality software and you passionate in automating almost every test.

• You will receive a competitive salary based on a 40-hour work week dependent on your level of education and work experience
• A one year contract with a high likelihood of it becoming permanent based on your performance.
• An annual 13th month’s salary, 22 vacation days and 4 non-sick days
