Senior Project Engineer

Function Description:
As Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for the overall project management activities,  leading 3 project engineers and 2 industrial designers. This new position is part of the group’s  desire to strengthen the engineering department, closely linked to the other departments  (production, maintenance,…).
You will report directly to the Managing Director Operations.

You will be responsible for the following tasks: 

1. Design and management of optimization and investment projects (energy savings, water and waste management, continuous improvement, enterprise asset management, …)
2. Development of your team members’ competencies (project management, engineering) up to the required level 
3. Integration of the engineering projects with the other departments
4. Communication and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, engineering offices and partners
5. Budget of investment projects (calculate, forecast and monitor budgets)
6. Establishment and optimization of an ERP for the enterprise asset management (EAM)

Senior Project Engineer Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Experiences

For this position only very experienced, flexible and sociable candidates, demonstrating a strong  process approach, will be considered.

Furthermore, the candidates should have the following qualifications and experiences:

• Civil or industrial engineer (with good knowledge in thermodynamics)
• Experience in an industrial production environment (agrifood sector is an asset)
• Strong experience in project and in people management 
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in French and English
• Team player with the ability to synthesize, take initiatives and assume responsibility for them
• Good knowledge of Excel and AutoCAD, ideally also of ERP and EAM
