As part of the Transportation Practice, the Highways group covers a wide range of skills including scheme development, preliminary and detailed design, procurement, project management and supervision of construction for both public and private sector clients.

The portfolio of challenging projects is wide and varied and includes local authority frameworks, private sector developments, studies for national agencies in the UK and Europe, and all forms of major scheme procurement and delivery including in particular Design & Build.

In order to better support our growing workload we are now looking to recruit new graduate engineers into our Highway team in Tramway House Dublin Description and Desired Qualifications We are looking to appoint Graduate calibre Highway Engineers based in various locations in the UK

The positions we have available are in Stockton, Warrington, Swindon, Cardiff, Worcester and London.

You will be required to demonstrate your interest in the Highways area, experienced gained within the sector would be highly advantageous.

The priorities of this role include:

• Assisting the nominated team leader and project manager in the technical delivery of projects on time and to budget
• Developing highway designs and associated highway infrastructure works
• Support on technical report delivery
• Use of AutoCAD and highway design software
• the candidates may also assist and work in other disciplines when required

Graduate Highway Engineer - UK Job Requirements

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

• Desire to work on highway and infrastructure projects
• Ability to work as part of a team with demonstrated ability to work to time and budget
• Committed, self-motivated and organised
• Good communication, planning and organisational skills
• The ability to write good quality reports and technical papers in English
• Computer literate
• Graduate member of a professional body and commitment to professional development
• Applicants will be required to provide competency during a short test on AutoCad.

Basic Qualifications
relevant accredited engineering degree at Bachelor or (preferably) Masters level

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree, Masters
