Cambridge is our R&D Technology Centre,focusing on specific areas of development that are of fundamental importance to our customers. The resulting innovations and products offer the right levels of high-availability precision at the right price for demanding environments.
As an Engineer you will support the R & D Group, ensuring the successful development and introduction of new solutions and products.
Your main responsibilities will include :
- Hardware, Firmware and Software Design Reliability & Quality Planning
- Quality Review and Approval for New Product Introduction Projects
- Support Prototype, Pilot and Product Launch and Ship Acceptance Activities
- Design Reliability Quality Improvement Plans and Field Issue Resolution
- Surveillance Activities for Product Approvals.
Design Quality Engineer – Cambridge Job Requirements
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) or a related discipline.
- Successfully introduced and released new solutions and products, preferably in an electrical and electronics industry.
- Instrumental in the development of robust new product introduction or product life cycle processes, including software, firmware and hardware.
- Competent in design quality, reliability and statistical tools and techniques, and it would be advantageous to be a qualified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- Experience and knowledge required in product and part qualification, environmental and reliability testing, and product regulatory approvals.
- An excellent team player with good communications and influencing skills acquired in a technical community.
